As the 2018-19 school semester begins, a new survey released by Niche has ranked the Tampa Bay area's 72 high schools.
Plant High School in South Tampa tops the list, comprised of public, magnet and charter schools across the Bay area.
Following Plant High School was Palm Harbor University High School, St. Petersburg Collegiate High School, Steinbrenner High School and Strawberry Crest High School.
The survey analyzes 3,903 private schools, 83,542 public schools, and 10,758 school districts, using factors like academics, culture and diversity, teachers, and millions of reviews submitted by parents and students.
The highest ranking school in the state was Pine View School, a public, gifted school in Sarasota for grades 2-12.
